Tanya Fletcher updates on her art career such as paintings, commissions, exhibits etc.
Honored to have been included in this years NHAA juried show, "Live Free or Die: Art is Expression". Gordon Dearborn Wilkins, the assistant curator for exhibitions & research @ the Peabody Essex Museum was the juror. Exhibition dates are April 5th ~ April 29th.
My piece, "Blue Shoulder's I" was mentioned in the juror's statement by Christoper French, juror of the "On the Map" exhibition: "Among the many accomplished submissions, I was most impressed by Tanya Fletcher's detailed, almost hyper-precise figure studies."
I'm working on a new "water" themed series. The pieces are oil, silver leaf on birch panel. What's new is that I'm framing the paintings under textured, colored glass. So far, I love the results!
The Black Hen Studio in South Portland, ME is featuring a group show of "Night" themed 6"x6" art pieces during the month of June. Three of my works are included! https://www.facebook.com/blackhenstudiomaine/
